Highly reccomend, fast and efficient service with excellent communication throughout
Having been made to feel like a criminal I didn't actually hire a car from Enterprise. Visiting my son who lives in Seaford for a couple weeks and needing to hire a car I initially called Enterprise's Eastbourne branch to ask if they would accept my Botswana driving licence. Having been told by the pleasant lady on the other end of the line that they would I went on to book a car. In the course of the process I was asked various questions, name, address, driving licence number etc. and whether I would pay using a debit or a credit card. I told her that I would use my debit card and she said that would be "fine". I then arranged with her a time to be picked up from my son's house. A short time afterwards I received a phone call from Enterprise,s Adam. He asked for further details such as what I did for a living, the name of my employer and other prying question, eventually he confirmed the time and location of the pick up. A short while after his first call Adam called back saying that his supervisor had raised another issue and asked if I had a credit card. I told him I had but that all his questioning was making me feel like a criminal and all I wanted was to hire a car while I was staying in Seaford. At this point I decided to go elsewhere. My advice to British citizens that live abroad and are driving on a foreign driving license is to go to Avis or Eurocar, after all you can't trust a company that misinform and mislead you?
Have to admit, having had a few cars from them over the last year in particular, they are really very good.Decent value, friendly and efficient, they consistently put themselves out to meet my needs.Nice to deal locally with a company that lives up to the advertising hype. Highly recommended.
Insulting service. First of all, they provided shady information about the "all included" insurance service, a complete lie, as there is an excess of 200 anyway, ah! and never mentioning there was a mandatory deposit of 200 except for a very hidden and very small text at the bottom of the page. In addition, even though it wasn't announced anywhere, they only accepted a credit card to pay for the deposit. I booked a week in advance but they called me to ask for the deposit one day in advance, and at that point if you want to cancel your booking you are asked to pay a 40 cancellation fee... what a coincidence. So to avoid losing my booking and 40 I had to use a Spanish credit card to pay for the deposit. They said they would pay me back the commission the bank charged for that, but after almost 3 months I still haven't received the money. A complete waste of time and money.
Most impressed, I was picked up at home driven to the depot. Completed the paperwork, including a very clear contract of terms explained to me by a very professional, polite young lady. I was then handed the keys to a brand new car with only 4,000 miles on the clock. Very happy, will definitely use again.
