Other places gave me quotes ranging from 260 to 360 for front pad and disc replacement but Qcr quoted me 200 which was so much better. The service is 10/10 dropped my car off at 11 and they got it back to me at 3 exactly. I would highly recommend them to everyone!
This is the 2nd year I've gone to QCR and rate them highly. The previous garage I was using had rubbish customer service, so I'm super glad I found this gem of a garage. Its a reliable and trustworthy independent garage, so don't expect bells and whistles, what you see is what you get. Labour and parts was reasonable too. Ignore previous reviews, everyone I know who has used these guys thinks they're great and and would recommend them hands down. My only hesitation is that if I leave this review and they get super busy that they won't be able to fit me in if I need them. ;)
Avoid!I had a knocking noise coming from a front passenger's side of the car. I have just moved to Eastbourne and decided to use QCR Services cause it was local. Unfortunately, It was a mistake. After the service, I have been told I had a broken coil which was replaced. I have paid 174.11 for 2 hour labour and a new spring. I also had a smell from engine and they told they have cleaned the engine and suggested to use other services because an injector was leaking fuel, because they cannot fix it. So for about 5-7 days there was no sound. However, the sound appeared again. By the way, the smell was still present, but I was more worried about the knocking sound, with each day it was becoming louder. On the invoice it stated "all work guarantee for 3 months or 3000 miles", so i went back to them.After another service, they said there was a rusty bolt that was making the sound and that they have done a test drive and no sound was heard. However, as soon as I sat down in my car and started to drive, I could clearly hear the sound.After that, I went back to them twice. They have changed the suspension for another 28, but it didn't change a thing. In the end, they told me they DO NOT KNOW where this sound is coming from, they said it sounds like you have a tennis ball somewhere inside the radio or something. Ridiculous! I was left with that, my problem unresolved, a lot of my time and nerves wasted and 200 spent. The problem with my knocking sound was resolved very quickly when I went to a mechanic recommended by my workmates, the top mount was knackered. It needed replacement. Avoid these ignorant mechanics. I went in and asked for a full service. They came back to me with 180 for a full service. Even though thats a bit high for an unknown mechanic, I still accepted. During the service, I receive a call and the mechanic tells me I need new break pads. Usually thats part of a service. Anyway, theyre just pads, so I thought lets change them too. I go back to collect my car at 5pm, Im handed a bill for 453. Where did the 273 come from I ask? He says break pads. Once o refused the bill and asked the idiot to clarify the costs, he couldnt. So coughing and wheezing, he says its mostly labour. How many hours of labour I ask? 3 hours he says. At this point I was really tempted to let my hands loose. 3 hours of labour for Fing break pads? Avoid these idiots at all costs. I will have my revenge.
