Went to buy 14 plate Suzuki Swift ,, all looked good until I spotted a miss aligned bonnet I was then told by Joe the salesman that it had been resprayed due to stone chips however the front bumper had not been painted and had no stone chips at all ,, not sure how that's possible really. I looked closer and realised the metal seam on the underside of the bonnet was fractured and rusty which means it had been hit by something with enough force to crack the two metal skins apart. In my book that's accident damage although Joe pointed out that it was HPI clear. This means nothing as if you repair a car and don't tell anyone then it won't show up on any search. I was told it was an ex Motability car so I can only surmise that they repair light damaged cars and sell them as untouched used cars. There cars are also overpriced. We have now bought a car a year younger and half the milage for the same price from another Suzuki Dealer. I would steer well clear to be honest. REF - answer below- everything I have stated is true and factual. The car was damaged and repaired but not declared until I found it for myself. HPI only show's up insurance claims , not damage repaired cars that aren't declared as such like the Swift you were trying to sell. As for pricing, look around at other Suzuki dealers and you will find much better deals just as we did. When a Dealer accuses someone who has left an honest review of being misleading and inaccurate you know there's something badly wrong.Typical bully boy tactics from a very poor dealership,, reminds me of the 1970s which is where they must have got their marketing strategy from. Go somewhere else if you know what's good for you. You will get a better deal and a much better car. I will be referring this whole sad saga to the Trading Standards.
Part exchanged our car for a 2017 vitara. Sam made it a very easy process and wasn't pushy in any way. Both my husband and I had a great test drive going where we chose to go , not a set route. Car is immaculate , as good as new. Sam threw in a retro dash clock and vitara floor mats. Love the car . Compared to our Ecosport, Suzuki's basic model is far superior to that. When you accelerate it keeps going faster, no flat gutless spots in this ! Thanks Sam ! Will definitely recommend you at Eastbourne Suzuki !
