Had to take my Wife to A&E as she was suffering chest and leg pains. The treatment was excellent. She was assessed within 20 minutes had a cardiogram within another 10 minutes and was seen by a doctor all within an hour. The treatment could not have been better. All the staff were very professional and reassuring. The department was fairly busy and they were doing there best to prioritise all the patients. Well done DGH really outstanding treatment.I was admitted for a planned l operation. The care could not have been better I was treated with respect and dignity by every member of the teams that dealt with me. The dedication shown by the nursing teams was incredible. The doctors explained every thing that was happening and offered reassurance throughout my stay. Of course it's never pleasant going into hospital but every member of the team was kind to me. Many thanks to all the doctors and nursing staff
Have had mixed views on the DGH. Been here numerous times for myself and on most occasions been impressed with the service. However, having to pay to park when you are going to hospital because your are sick or are visiting someone is ridiculous! Also had some terrible experiences witnessing nurses and other staff on the wards treat a relative of mine terribly.
Just over 4 years ago I was successfully treated for bladder cancer. A few month after the cancer treatment I needed treatment for Arthritis and Psoriasis in the Rheumatology Department. I still have ongoing treatment in both department which I have always found to be excellent. Thank you very much.
2 and a half hours waiting time. They forgot about us despite the fact we had an appointment on the system. Do not recommend this hospital if you want to preserve your life.
A big thank you to all the wonderful staff who looked after me. No one likes going to hospital we all get nervous but when you are met by a warm welcome it helps. I was only in over night but what wonderful doctors and nurses and porters and kitchen staff. Thank you to all of you
